Start main peloton
Passau
The European Peace Ride started in Passau, the "City of Three Rivers", where the Danube, Inn and Ilz meet. The historic old town and the impressive St. Stephen's Cathedral offer an impressive start.
Stage goal 1 main peloton
Plzen
We continued to Plzeň, the home of the world-famous Pilsner beer. In addition to the art of brewing, the city impresses with its charming old town and cultural diversity.
Start of the Polish peloton
Stara Kopalnia
The European Peace Rides began for the Polish peloton in Stara Kopalnia, a historical industrial monument in Wałbrzych, Poland, which was once an important coal mine.
Stage goal 1 Polish peloton
Bad Flinsberg
The route led through idyllic villages and gentle hills up to Bad Flinsberg, known today as Świeradów-Zdrój. A picturesque spa town famous for its healing springs.
Stage goal 2 main peloton & Polish peloton
Usti nad Labem
The route then passed through Ústí nad Labem, picturesquely situated on the Elbe River. Surrounded by impressive rock formations, the city combines industrial history with stunning natural beauty.
TARGET Main peloton & Poland peloton
Chemnitz
The grand finale took place in Chemnitz, the European Capital of Culture 2025. The city impressed with its industrial heritage, contemporary art, and a vibrant creative scene – a perfect conclusion to this special ride for peace.

Nova Gorica – European Capital of Culture 2025
In 2025, Nova Gorica shares the title of European Capital of Culture with Chemnitz – in this special case, even jointly and across borders with its Italian neighbor city, Gorizia. This prestigious designation honors the close relationship between the two cities, which were once divided and now stand as a symbol of unity and cooperation in Europe.
Representing all participants of the EPR 2025, 20 EPR riders will start in Nova Gorica to pay tribute to the second European Capital of Culture of the year. In doing so, they will take on an additional 500 km before joining the main European Peace Ride peloton in Passau and riding together with all participants to Chemnitz.
