EUROPEAN PEACE RIDE 2021
Two stages led around 90 cycling enthusiasts on September 11 and 12, 2021, over 412 kilometers and 5,000 meters of altitude FROM CHEMNITZ TO PRAGUE AND BACK. Ten Czech participants were among the amateur athletes.
The Peleton was received by numerous representatives from politics, sports and society. Among them: The mayors of Chemnitz and Prague, former peace riders and numerous enthusiastic cycling fans.
The project is an essential part of Chemnitz on its way to becoming the European Capital of Culture 2025 and is firmly anchored in the application book of the city of Chemnitz.

In numerous interviews with the riders, the organizers and the enthusiastic population along the route, it was possible to capture the basic idea and the social significance.
At the same time, the recordings form the basis for a long-term documentation of the project.
